How Sri Sathya Ashram Was Born

Sri Sathya Ashram was founded by our GuruShakti, Sri Sathya Bhagawan. Behind it lies a profound revolution.

Our GuruShakti, at the age of just 12, stood against the divisions and fractures of caste, race, color, and religion, and left home. It would not be an exaggeration to say that the revolution that began then gave birth to Sri Sathya Ashram.

From a young age, GuruShakti had an extraordinary love and compassion for the weak, the oppressed by society and life, and those rejected without the support of loved ones.

It is the rejected who need a mother. I am here for them. From now on, I am their mother.
GuruShakti

Many divisions, social fractures, and discriminations — people affected for ages and unseen; innocent people deceived by superstitions, unaware of what they need, what to achieve in life, what human life is given for — to put an end to the human exploitation, deception, fraud, and superstitions perpetrated against these people, GuruShakti established this ashram.

A movement was started that gives complete importance to people, respects humans, and respects their minds.

Why spend money to worship God.. Devotion and a little guidance is enough..

And so, the Divine Human Service Movement — ‘Sri Sathya Ashram — The Key For You’ — was born, giving priority to devotion and the devotee. The movement carries its very purpose as its name.

Principles of the Movement

I am a key-maker (solution-maker), I will certainly have the key (life-solution) for you..
GuruShakti

The core principles upheld by Sri Sathya Ashram:

  • Every human being born into this world has a purpose — making them realize it.

  • What one searches for throughout their entire life — helping them attain it.

  • Giving proper guidance to decide what is needed and what is not needed in their life.

  • Acting as a lighthouse in the great ocean of human life, showing each person their direction.

  • Protecting and passing on our diminishing heritage and culture to the people, without letting it perish.

  • Carrying out genuine human service — against fake spirituality and superstitions — by giving scientific explanations for why they are superstitions, and campaigning vigorously.

  • Making one understand that true devotion is uniting with God, like a drop of curd merging into milk to become one with the Lord.

  • Even if talent exists, a guru's blessing is needed for it to manifest — conveying the greatness of that blessing to the world.

  • No one who comes to the ashram should leave ‘with hunger in their stomach and sorrow in their heart.’

  • Acting as a bridge for devotees to reach the limitless God, Sri Sri MahaShakti.

  • Just as the movement's name suggests — acting as a ‘key’ in the life of every visitor.

“As long as I am with you, no one can defeat you..”
